In this edition of Test Tuesday, we are testing Crayola Color Sticks. These are a woodless colored pencil product.
The best results using this product resulted from the standard Readi-Board samples. The color transferred well to all of the samples. As is often the case with colored media, on colored paper. The warmer colored sticks did not show up as well on the red paper, and the cooler colored sticks were not as vibrant on the blue paper. The Readi-Grid sample also worked extremely well with the color sticks.
The sticks applied to all of the Adams Premium samples as well, however the paper’s smoother surface did alter how the marks showed up. While the color sticks applied to the No Paper sample, they did create indents in the foam. The sticks did not apply well to the extremely smooth surfaces of the Readi Water Resistant and Readi-Erase board samples.
