In this edition of Test Tuesday, we are testing metallic markers. I am using Office Depot brand metallic markers in 8 different shades.
Readi-Board samples
Adams Premium samples
The markers applied well to all the foam board samples. As is often the case, some colors appear better than others on the colored Readi-Board and Adams Premium samples. Warmer colors will frequently not show up well on the red samples, and cooler colors will blend in with the paper of the blue samples.
No Paper, Readi-Erase, Readi Water Resistant and Readi-Grid samples.
I allowed the marker ink to dry for one hour on the No Paper, Readi-Erase and Readi Water Resistant samples before dragging my finger across the surface. Included is an image of the smudge marks that resulted. I would still recommend using the metallic markers on these surfaces, if the project is not going to be handled frequently.

The metallic markers worked the best (in my opinion) on the black colored samples.
